Banana Bread

We made this last week on "What's Cooking Wednesday" and it is the best banana bread I have made yet! Thank you Amanda for submitting it in the ward cookbook!


1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. flour
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
1 tsp. vanilla

In a large bowl, cream sugar and butter. Add eggs; set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine salt and flour; set aside.

Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk. Add flour mixture and milk mixture to butter mixture and mix well. Add bananas and vanilla. Pour into a well greased loaf pan. Bake at 300 for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean.
